
Full Day City Tour
Of Mombasa
Located on
Kenya’s Eastern coastline bordering the Indian Ocean, is
the Mombasa city. It is the second largest city in Kenya
and one of Africa’s major tourist destinations.
The city is also
very rich in culture due to the pre independent and
early settlers. The tours and excursions we have
prepared include visits to historical places including
the Fort Jesus built in 1953 and the old town with
buildings and history dating back to the pre colonial
period.
Pick up is at
0800hrs for the City Centre. Drive along the Mama Ngina
drive on the sea shore to enjoy the beautiful views of
the Indian Ocean and the Likoni Ferry on your way to
Fort Jesus.
Once you arrive
there our guide will take over and start the tour of the
Fort Jesus, a National Monument with history dating back
to pre-colonial period. Proceed to the old town and walk
along the narrow streets filled with so much activity.
Walk towards the
Fruits and Spice market.
Next visit the
Hindu mosque, then proceed to the Mombasa Landmark
(elephant tusks) for photographs. Drive to the Akamba
Handicraft Industry where you can buy curios and at the
same time see how the curios are made and carved. Some
of the different carvings made here include, human
sculptures, animal sculptures, decorative accessories
and functional carvings among others.
Lunch will be at
the Tamarind restaurant. After which you’ll proceed to
the Ngomomgo villages. Here you get the chance to learn
about all the tribes of Kenya and their different
cultures.
After the tour of
Ngomongo Villages, you will be transferred back to your
hotel in time for dinner.
Malindi Tour
Depart from hotel
early after breakfast and drive along the North coast to
Malindi. The Highlights of this tour will include:
A visit to Gede
ruins – an ancient Swahili village mysteriously
abandoned some 600 years ago due to unknown causes, now
a national museum, the ruins are overgrown with
Indigenous forest
trees, age-old baobab trees, tamarind and animals can be
found here too. This excursion is well worth a walk and
a visit.
A visit to the
Kipepeo Butterfly Project – an innovative project aimed
at giving forest edge communities get income from the
forest by live breeding unique butterflies from the
Arabuko- Sokoke forest.
Check out the
Vasco da Gama Pillar built in 1498, lots of history
right there. Malindi Crocodile Farm and Snake Park-
located just off the main road leading to Malindi Marine
Park
The Beach – swim,
have a picnic etc
Full Day Wasini
On our full day
wasini island, kisite marine park excursion by road, we
start early from the beach hotels to be at the Shimoni
jetty before low tide.
Depart from your
hotel and proceed to the small historical fishing
village of Shimoni driving via coastal settlements with
views of palm trees, cashew nuts, mango trees, and rice
paddies.
On arrival at the
Shimoni village, board the motorized dhows for a cruise
in the marine park and the surrounding Kisite, Mpunguti
Islands.
Snorkel and
marvel at the rich marine life where corals, exotic fish
and sea plants are protected. As we sail in the calm
waters, we will be on the lookout for the
resident dolphins
that approach the dhow and with their gymnastics, beckon
us to join them for a swimming duel.
At Wasini Island,
we will disembark and take a discovery stroll through
the Island and its pure Swahili culture also visiting
the giant coral garden and the adjacent mangrove swamp
forest. Our guide will give us an in depth oration
throughout the tour.
Later, we will
settle down for an adventurous barbeque seafood lunch
with local Swahili accompaniments. After a short
reflective siesta, we board our dhows for the sea trip
to the Shimoni jetty.
Recommended:
Visit the Shimoni caves where slaves were “stored”
during the old slave trading days before they were
shipmed to the Zanzibar slave market.
We bid “Kwaheri”
to the village folk and start the journey to our
respective hotels.
Tsavo East –
One Day Safari
Your Mombasa
Kenya Tsavo East full day safari starts early to enable
us spend maximum time at the Tsavo East
At approximately
0630 hrs, depart from your hotel. Proceed along the
Nairobi
Mombasa highway
on a scenic 2-hour drive along a smooth tarmac road.
There will be a
short stop over near the gate for Breakfast &
refreshments at your own cost. Enter the Tsavo East
National Park through the Bachuma gate and commence game
viewing in search of elephants, lions, cheetahs,
buffalos, giraffes, antelopes, and many more animal
species. Lunch at a rustic restaurant overlooking the
Tsavo plains.
You will have an
afternoon game drive that will commence after lunch.
Depart Tsavo East
for Mombasa to arrive in the late afternoon. Transfer to
your hotel.
Dolphin Safari
The 28sq. km
Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park is reputed to be the most
beautiful marine park after the Great Barrier Reef of
Australia and is the best in Kenya in terms of species
diversity, coral quality and reef build-up. The warm,
pristine waters are host to dramatic coral formations,
dolphins, turtles, sting rays, moray eels and a
bewildering variety of sea life that comprise a unique
eco-system that could be referred to as a garden under
the sea. Come with us for a day trip on the Pilli Pipa
in and around Kisite, home of the dolphins. Run by
Selina and Harm who are Marine Biologist and PADI Diving
Instructors, we take limited numbers to offer you a more
personal service. Even weak and non-swimmers have had
the confidence to enter the water with us and taken home
unforgettable memories.
Drive to Shimoni
jetty in a
shared mini bus to arrive at about 8.30am.
On arrival, board
our Arabian Style dhow with comfortable seating. Welcome
on board by a cheery crew who will serve you with Kenya
coffee or tea with biscuits.
Full briefing of
all facilities and program on boarding.
Motor and or sail
as you look for Dolphins past Mpunguti ya juu &
Mpunguti ya Chini on your way to Kisite National Marine
Park.
Guided snorkeling
in the protected waters. Guides safely showing the many
varied fish and coral. Assistance
given with additional use of life rings and buoyancy
jackets if required.
Two snorkeling
sites visited or extended snorkeling time – depending on
the weather.
Return to our
private residence on Wasini Island, a Robinson Crusoe
hideaway, for a delicious Seafood Banquet. Lunch is
served in a private garden by smiling Swahili Ladies and
includes beer, wine and sodas. Try some of our
Citronella Tea made from fresh lemon grass grown by Harm
on the island. There is the opportunity to look through
our Marine Literature and identify the creatures that
you have seen.
Tired after the
eventful day, there is reluctance to leave but gradually
people are guided back onto the dhow and, weather
permitting, we may sail across the Wasini Channel to
Shimoni.
Visit Shimoni
Slave Caves Community project (optional at an extra
cost)
All equipment
provided including prescription masks, snorkels, fins
and diving equipment. Soft drinks (sodas), mineral water
and fruits served on the dhow. To make the day
comfortable, you need to carry own towels, sun lotion,
water friendly shoes, sun glasses, hats and swimming
costume. The photo opportunities can be outstanding so
carry a camera too.
You will be
picked from your Mombasa Hotel (South or North Coast)
after an early morning breakfast. Drive through the
North Great Road to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary – a
privately owned conservation area located at the foot of
the Taita Hills adjacent to Tsavo West National Park in
Kenya – one of the world’s largest game reserves.
The Sanctuary
offers many diverse opportunities for guests to
experience the unique flora, fauna and culture of this
fascinating ecosystem. Night game drives provide guests
with an opportunity of seeing animals not usually
encountered on a daytime game drive.
Nature walks with
a guide can also be arranged. Enjoy a bush breakfast or
dinner,Champagne Sundowner at Kudu Point or visit local
communities and experience their culture.

You will check-in
SAROVA SALT LICK GAME LODGE by lunch time which is
located in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife
Sanctuary and is a truly unique architectural concept
consisting of 96 distinctively luxurious oval-shaped
rooms, overlooking a waterhole which attracts a large
array of wildlife, especially elephants. In the evenings
the animals gather at the waterhole – a spectacular site
to behold, to drink at the watering hole. Afternoon game
drive.

Flying Package To Maasai Mara From
Mombasa/Diani/Malindi
This package has
been designed for the Traveler that wants to fly
directly in to the Maasai Mara either from Diani,
Mombasa or Malindi. This is a very competitive flying
package that includes luxury tented accommodation, with
game drives in a land cruiser Jeep for 2 nights, 3 days.
The package can also be extended for more nights.
Day 1: Diani
Mombasa or Malindi to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Depart from
either Diani Ukunda airport, Mombasa international
airport or Malindi airport at approximately 8 am,
arriving into Maasai Mara at 10.30am. Driver/Guide
pickup from the airstrip with game drives en-route to
arrive for lunch at Lodge. The afternoon is spent game
viewing. Maasai Mara is the most famous game reserve in
Africa .
The Mara is 1,510
sq.Kms of open grasslands dotted with the distinctive
flat topped acacia trees. It is watered by the
tree-lined Mara River and its tributary the Talek River
. The western border of the park is spectacular Oloololo
Escarpment. The Mara is the richest game viewing
experience in Africa . The concentration of game is at
its highest in the months of July through October when
the Mara is the host to the annual migration of more
than two million wildebeest.

Day 2: Masai Mara
Game Reserve
Spend a full day
in the Maasai Mara with picnic lunches or morning and
afternoon game drives. If you are coming during the
Great Migration do not miss the opportunity to do a full
day game drive with picnic lunches at the Mara river
crossing!
If you are lucky
to see this you will find wildebeest and the occasional
zebra huddled in their thousands on one side of the
river; their sounds filling the African air. Inside the
river, large crocodiles lay and wait. For a moment the
Wildebeest seem to hesitate, each anxious to cross, but
for some reason none make a move. Then suddenly, one
brave wildebeest steps forth and takes the first plunge
into the muddy waters of the Mara river. This sets of a
stampede, with each animal for itself, swimming and
fighting to get to the other side. The crocodiles rush
in for the kill, not wanting to waste this golden
opportunity. This is a marvelous spectacle that will
imprint itself into your memories for the rest of your
life.

Day 3: Masai Mara
to Nairobi
Early Morning
game drives, back for breakfast. After breakfast spend
the morning at leisure. Your return flight is at 2pm.
Opt for an extra lunch in this day at an additional
cost. Transfer to the airstrip at 1pm to connect flight
back to Diani/Malindi/Mombasa at approximately 4.30pm.

One Night/2
Day Tsavo East Safari By Road
When you visit
the Kenya coast on your beach holiday, take a break with
this 2 days 1 night safari to Tsavo East National Park
to savour the wildlife scenery in this world re-known
National Park.
Day 1: Pick up
from your hotel at 0530 hrs and head for the Mombasa
-Nairobi highway, Arrive in Tsavo East, approximately
120km away to the Bachuma gate where you will stop
briefly for refreshments.
You will begin
your first game drive upon entry; concentrating on the
Aruba dam area where higher number of game are bound to
be spotted. You will check into your lodge or camp and
then enjoy a buffet lunch.
After lunch, you
will take an afternoon game drive returning to your
lodge or camp in the early evening for dinner and
overnight stay to conclude the first day of your 2 days
Tsavo East safari.
Day 2: Early
morning game drive which will take about 2 hours then
return to your lodge or camp for breakfast. After
breakfast, you will enjoy the last game drive as you
drive out of the Tsavo East National Park. Lunch will be
at a scenic spot near Voi town before commencing your
return journey to the Coast where you will be dropped
off to your respective hotel.
One Night/2 Days
Tsavo West Safari By Road
While you are on
your Mombasa Kenya beach holiday, this one night safari
to Tsavo East and West National Park is all you will
need to experience wildlife game viewing in this world
re-known National Park. “Short and very sweet” is how
some clients describe this safari!
Day 1: Pick up
from your North Coast Mombasa hotel will be at 0530 hrs
and head for theMombasa -Nairobi highway. Tsavo West
road safari is approximately 120km and will take you to
the Bachuma gate where we stop for refreshments.
Your first game
drive will begin upon entry, concentrating on the Aruba
dam area where higher number of game are bound to be
spotted. Later, you will enjoy an excellent buffet
lunch.
After lunch, you
will take the road to Tsavo West, watching out for wild
animals as you head for your lodge or camp. After
freshening up, you will visit the Rhino Sanctuary and
more game viewing returning to your lodge or camp for
dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: You
will take an early morning game drive approximately 2
hours long and then return to your lodge or camp for
breakfast.
After breakfast,
you will head to the Mzima springs. You will disembark
and explore this beautiful spot and view hippos,
crocodiles, exotic fish and a variety of bird species.
Due to the abundant water supply, this area is lush with
green vegetation in complete contrast to it’s
neighbouring areas. You will return to your lodge or
camp for lunch before commencing your return journey to
the Kenya coast where you will be dropped in your
respective hotel.
3 Days 2/Nights
Tsavo East & Amboseli Road Safari
Make your Mombasa
beach holiday more interesting by going on Safari into
the Amboseli National Park for a bush and beach holiday
experience.
Day 1: Depart
from your Mombasa Hotel onto the Mombasa-Nairobi highway
120km to the Bachuma gate where you will stop briefly
for refreshments. Without wasting time, you will start
game viewing upon entry as you head to your lodge or
camp.
Arrive at the
lodge, freshen up and have your lunch. Your sundowner
game drive will commence after lunch to watch the
beautiful game in Tsavo. Look-out for the magical
African sunset. Return to your lodge for your evening
meals and overnight stay.
Day 2: You
will begin your morning with a game drive and thereafter
return to your lodge or camp for breakfast. You will
then depart for the Amboseli National Park and arrive in
time for lunch.
The Kilimanjaro
forms a majestic backdrop to everything you do at the
Amboseli. An afternoon game drive will follow, returning
back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: After
an early morning game drive, you will check out and head
for the park exit whilst enjoying game viewing en-route.
Rejoin the Mombasa -Nairobi highway and then drive to
Mombasa arriving in the late afternoon where you will be
dropped off to your beach hotel.
