Day 1 The
Baobab Garden

you will be picked up by your guide and we will drive
West across the Great Rift Valley arriving in Tarangire
National Park for mid-morning to start our first game
drive. We will then enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the
Tarangire river, before enjoying an afternoon game

landscape, we will enjoy Tanzania's largest
concentration of elephants. In addition to elephants,
Leopard, Ostrich, Lion, Warthog, Zebra and now days even
cheetah are common sightings in Tarangire. If we are
lucky we may even encounter the very endangered Wild

Day 2 Lake
Manyara to Ngorongoro
Enjoy a final
glimpse of the Boabab Garden as we work our way to the
South, where we will enter Lake Manyara National Park,
form the lesser used Southern Gate. This relatively
small park is home to some of the most diverse birdlife
in Tanzania, with over 400 recorded species. Almost year
round a visitor can easily spot around 100 different
species of bird. Most notable are the large flocks of
Flamingos, along with saddle billed stork, spoonbills,
pelicans, and other shorebirds. However bee eaters and
hornbills are also spotted regularly. The park is also
known for a good mix of game that can be found on the
salt licks near the shores of the lake. Baboons,
elephants, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, hippo, and
banded mongoose are often found among the water birds.
The small pride of lions have also become quite famous
commonly found lounging in the trees. In the late
afternoon we will set off towards Karatu where you will
find Lodge located on the boundary of the Ngorongoro
Forest.

Day 5-6 The
Great Migration
After two days in
Central Serengeti we then follow the Migration heading
to Northern Serengeti from July to November and towards
the Lake Ndutu area of the Serengeti from December to
April. In both areas we will find the comfortable
Flycatcher Mobile Tented Camp located in a perfect site
providing a good base to catch the migration as they
herds move across the plains.
In the Northern
Serengeti we should have able opportunities to catch a
famed river crossing where the huge herds plunge into
the crocodile infested rivers as they head towards the
Masai Mara.

Day 8
Exploring the Crater Floor
We will start the
day before sunrise in order to get down to the crater
floor while the wildlife is most active. This UNESCO
World Heritage Site boasts the densest population of
total wildlife in all of Tanzania. Surprisingly we find
different ecosystems in the crater, which attract
different wildlife. Rhinos are often found grazing early
in the morning and then retreat to the forests as the
temperatures rise. Elephants and buffalo are often found
around the Northern and Eastern areas of the crater.
Wildebeest, zebra and spotted Hyena are found in most
areas of the crater floor. Flamingos, Kori Bustards,
Secretary Birds, and Grey-Crowned Cranes are also
popular sightings, alongside the numerous ostrich. After
lunch inside the craterl, we will enjoy a last drive
through the Gorgigor Swamp, before we start our drive
back up to the rim of the crater and then proceed to
Arusha. Your guide will take you to your hotel in Arusha
or to the airport for your international flight back
home.
