
This safari allows you to explore wildlife that is exclusive to Uganda. A trip to Murchison Falls will reveal the world’s strongest waterfall greeting the longest river in Africa, the Nile. The extreme, remote north of the country will reveal rarely sighted animals like cheetahs. The parks in the west, including Queen Elizabeth and Kibale, will expose you to rare tree climbing lions, chimpanzees and mountain gorillas.

Day 1 Kampala
Upon arrival, you
will be met by a Yala Safari staff member, who will then
transfer you to the Maries Royale Hotel for relaxation
and your overnight stay. Depending on your arrival time,
you may opt to take an optional tour of Kampala city and
then make your way to the Maries Royale.
Day 2 Kampala -
Kitgum
After an early
breakfast, drive north through Luweero to the
Nakasongola district, where you will stop to track the
white rhinos at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Eat lunch en
route and proceed on your journey, arriving at Kitgum in
the late afternoon for relaxation, dinner and your
overnight stay at the Bomah Hotel Kitgum.
Day 3 Kidepo
Valley National Park
We will pick you
up from your hotel after breakfast and then set off on a
three to four-hour drive through Karamajong villages to
Kidepo Valley National Park. We will make calculated
stops along the way for landscape viewing before finally
entering the park. Relax at the lodge and eat lunch
while we arrange for your evening game drive, which will
allow you to view elephants, cape buffalo herds,
cheetahs, Roan antelope, hartebeests and many more.
Return in the evening for dinner and your overnight at
the Apoka Lodge.
Day 4 Kidepo
Valley National Park
Eat an early
breakfast and then embark on an exciting morning game
drive within the Narus Valley. This is where you most
likely to see lions, ostriches, jackals, etc. Later you
will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In
the afternoon we have arranged a cultural experience
that will bring you into contact with the Karamojong
peoples at Karenna and Kapedo. Meet with the local
elders and appreciate opportunity to interact with them.
They will show you the kraals, their cultural huts
called ‘manyattas’, their grinding stones and many more
interesting items. Return to the lodge for relaxation,
dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 6 Murchison
Falls National Park
Today we will
leave early for Murchison Falls National Park, arriving
in the early afternoon in time for lunch at the lodge.
After a resting period, we will embark on a game drive
to the northern area of the park in search of lions,
hunting dogs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and more!
Our “checklist” of animals will reach 76 as we browse
the drive circuits on our way to the Delta point.
Complete your day with a visit to the top of the falls
and then return to the Paraa Safari Lodge for dinner and
your overnight stay.
Day 7 Murchison
Falls National Park
Awake early and
eat breakfast before departing on a sunrise game drive
across the savannah. You will see abundant wildlife,
including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes,
hartebeests, giraffes and antelope. In the afternoon,
you will go on a three hour boat ride to the base of the
falls, where you will get to see hippos, Nile
crocodiles, elephants and a variety of beautiful bird
species. Return to the lodge for dinner and your
overnight stay.
Day 8 Hoima
Enjoy a leisurely
morning and breakfast before transferring to Hoima.
Along the way, we will pass through the Albertine rifts
and escarpments. We will also view some wildlife and
take periodic stops (as determined by your
driver-guide). You will spend the afternoon relaxing in
preparation for your upcoming adventures. Dinner and
your overnight stay will be at the Kontiki Hotel Hoima.
Day 9 Queen
Elizabeth National Park
Today you will
transfer from Hoima en route to Queen Elizabeth National
Park. Along the way, you will enjoy the backdrop of the
‘Mountains of the Moon’ in Fort Portal and Kasese. As we
make our way into the park in the evening, you will
experience a bonus game drive and hopefully see
elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, warthogs, hyenas
as we drive across the Kasneyi plains. Check in for
relaxation, dinner and your overnight stay at Park View
Safari Lodge.
Day 10 Wildlife

Start the day
with an early cup of tea and/or coffee before embarking
on a game drive along the Queen’s Mile and the Kasenyi
trail. It will be hard to miss the lions here! On this
trail you will see elephants, water bucks, buffaloes,
Uganda kobs, warthogs and several bird species. Return
for breakfast (and later lunch) at the lodge. In the
afternoon, you will enjoy a two-hour boat ride on the
Kazinga Channel, where you will encounter buffaloes,
elephants, hippos, kobs, warthogs and a variety of
birds. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the
Park View Safari Lodge.
Day 11 Bwindi
Impenetrable National Park
Eat an early
breakfast and then enjoy a walk in the Kyambura forest
in search of the playful chimpanzees. After this trek,
you will embark on an exciting road drive through the
Kizegi highlands and terraced hills of the Bakiga and
Bafumbira people towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
National Park. Check in for relaxation, dinner and your
overnight stay at Gorilla Mist Camp.
Day 12 Bwindi
Impenetrable National Park
After an early
breakfast and briefing from the guides of the Uganda
Wildlife Authority, you will set off on your gorilla
tracking experience within the forest sanctuary. The
activity starts at 8.00am and you will join other people
according to the gorilla family distribution (only eight
people are allowed near a gorilla family each day). You
will need to carry with you a packed lunch, drinking
water, a rain jacket and trekking boots. The rangers
will provide you with a walking stick. If you are not
sure of your fitness level, you might hire a porter and
pay him a tip to help you carry the bag. It is
unpredictable how long it will take to find the primates
as they move freely in the forest. Your encounter with
the gorillas, which lasts for about one hour, is
undoubtedly a rewarding and unforgettable experience.
After the trekking, you will go back to the lodge at
your leisure. Later you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
for an overnight stay at the Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort.
Day 13 Lake
Bunyonyi
In the morning,
after breakfast, you can go on a hike along the Bushara
trail, which borders the lake shore. Return to the hotel
and relax or go on a canoe ride with a local resident to
enjoy some exotic bird species’ singing. Your dinner and
overnight stay will be at the Bunyonyi Eco Resort. Enjoy
the cool breeze from the surrounding Islands during your
stay here!
Day 14 Lake Mburo
National Park
Check out after
breakfast and drive through the nearby hilly areas to
the savannah dotted with acacia and shrubs en route to
Lake Mburo National Park, the home of zebras and impala
herds. Have lunch at Rwakobo rock and relax a bit. In
the afternoon, you will go on a game drive that will
feature zebras, impalas, elands, cape buffaloes,
warthogs and others. Later you will return for dinner
and your overnight at stay Rwakobo Rock.
Day 15 Lake Mburo
National Park
Get up early to
have a chance at seeing leopards, waterbucks, zebras and
birds before daybreak. You will then return to the lodge
for breakfast and check out. Embark on an exciting road
trip back to Kampala with a stopover at the Igongo
Cultural Centre in Mabarara for lunch. Arrive in Entebbe
in the evening to catch your flight back home.
